Valve cover gasket kit came with grommets, what for?

Valve cover gasket kit came with grommets, what for?

I just ordered a new valve cover gasket kit, I just started installing it when I saw a little pouch full of grommets, I have a 1995 SC300, what are those grommets for?

Those go around the mounting bolts like a washer. Take the old ones that are probably stuck to the bolts off & replace them.

Yeah they're just "washers" but they're pretty much useless since the actual valve cover gasket does all the sealing work. I bought a similar kit and didn't use them with no issue.
