Unhappy 93' sc400 Coolant leak

Hello all, I own a 93 sc400 and I have been slowly bringing her back to life. My current problem is that water housing that you put the thermostat into had a bad gasket. I replaced that gasket with gasket maker and all is good for that but, what I believe to be the heating pipe? that goes to the rear of that housing (Metal Tube) is leaking. from my understanding there is a rubber o-ring that goes onto that heating pipe. I can see the water pouring out when I go to fill it. I am looking for some direction here as replacing the water pump seems like an in depth job as does removing the intake manifold but I am willing to do it if someone can point me in the right direction. I can supply photos as well if needed. TYIA n Happy driving)
