Default 93 SC300 Standalone Ecu for Auto Questions

Hey all, so I have a 93 sc300 non-vvti w/ an xs power turbo kit, when i bought the car it had a mapecu3 piggyback and car wasn’t finished. Im pretty sure the mapecu3 is defective or so I was told (not too bummed it was free)

I’ve found a motec m150 setup (going this route to keep the a340e auto trans) for a non-vvti supra thats pnp, my question to you all is would it also be pnp for the sc300 or would that harness need modification.

On a side note would motec be best to use to stick with stock auto? i’ve heard of using stock jdm ecu’s for a cheaper route but there being issues with torque converter lockup, and having to “bump” shift into each gear manually.

I would greatly appreciate any insight, i’ve done a bunch a searching around but couldn’t really find any exact answers. My apologies if this has been asked before 🙏🏼
