recently rebuilt ecu by a highly recommended guy on fb, sent me a video of my ecu shifting a car fine before sending me it back
installed new shift solenoids
in drive car shifts at 1300 no more, skips 2nd and then goes to od
in manual putting it into the 2 position it only goes to 3rd not second
disconnecting the battery and Reconnecting after an hour lets it shift into 2nd and work as it should for 30 seconds then goes back to how it is
code is for number 2 shift solenoid
i have read the full service manual online and did all the diag and since I rebuilt the ecu now it kinda just says well it’s the wiring.
Has anyone had this issue? Is it possible the transmission 2nd gear is actually bad mechanically? I can’t test it because 2position defaults to 3rd when testing unplugged. No shavings were found when I dropped pan to do the solenoids.
I’m manual swapping it eventually but I’d like to have 2nd gear until then lol, I’ve checked the solenoid wiring and the pins on ecu and the plug on the transmission. Could it be a pinched wire or possibly a speed sensor issue? Thanks in advance for the help
