Default Does coolant go here?

Might be a stupid question but is the box to the left of the yellow cap the coolant reservoir? It looks different than my buddies SC

When in doubt, follow the plumbing. The top cap's hose goes to the radiator's filler neck, so you know it's the coolant reservoir/overflow.

That looks like a fan shroud from an IS, which has the coolant overflow tank there, you can see the coolant line from the radiator neck to the overflow tank. Yes, coolant does go there.
