need yr help for turbo kit
i spoke to dave h. and he is offering a partial turbo kit with the flwg parts:
- the manifold, shorty downpipe, wastegate dump pipe, Tial 38mm wastagte and PTE turbo.
the flwg parts are still needed to make this turbo fully functionable:
- intercooler
- intercooler piping
- msd ignition boost timing (is this needed)?
- blow off valve
- 3 bar map sensor
- boost control
- walbro fuel pump (is this also needed if i use stock injectors)
- safc fuel control
i only want to achieve 350-up hp but not to exceed 450hp. what else do i need? am i missing
something ?...
tks in advance for any help you might share.

that is pic of the manifold... and let me know what you think ......

The MSD box is a must, IMHO... more so if you're going to stay with stock compression. If you're 6psi or under, no real timing adjustment is needed. I think if you keep stock fuel, at least get the walbro or Supra turbo fuel pump... Gotta keep that rail full...

tks for yr help you guys.
just to let you know, there wud be no modification on the block at all.........
i want the car to still last for about a few years or so for daily driving.
my question is, why some people lower the compression more? is cuz thy want to achieve more hp
by boosting more?
i will definitely go with tt fuel pump or walbro with 440cc injectors just to be in safe side.
it's better running rich than lean, as thy always say. i will also consider the msd boost manager
to avoid such detonation. i will use SAFC to control the 6 injectors. what else am i missing besides
getting every major parts?
tks again you guys......appreciate

Bear in mind that the SAFC isn't actually hooked up to any injectors... Those are still directly controlled by the ECU. All you're doing with the S-AFC is manipulating the airflow signal to the ECU, which results in more or less fuel being added. The Greddy E-Manage is one of the few that has a module that will directly manipulate the pulse signal fed to the injectors---resulting in a wider range of injector choices. In your case to go with the 440cc injectors, you'd ideally want the LS400 MAF upgrade to feed more air to balance the more fuel that the 440cc injectors put out.

t51r: i see what you mean. matter of fact, im running HKS AFR TYPE-L right now which
i hooked up and by-pass the air flow signal on the ecu. i felt little difference, nothing big.
do you guys think this is good enough ? maybe not since you can only adjust so little.
it wz one of thse old hks product with a turning adjustable ****.

guys a little confused here...
do i need both the 3 bar map sensor and LS400amf? or either one?
and definitely i will need SAFC and MSD boost timing manger as well.
if i do run 440cc injectors, and decide to boost a little more than 7or8psi, can that be done as well
with stock internals and do i need to upgrade my head gasket to get lower compression inorder to
achieve such boost levels? i am thinking maybe 12psi or less.
just kindly specify what's best for me to be in a safe side for not blowing the motor away since i will keep
internals stock for now and as a daily driven car.
if 6-7psi of boost is safe, then what are the parts that i might "not" need to complete the kit?
such as 440cc injectors?
tks u guys. this is such a big headache just by thinking.
