Removing EGR Valve

Removing EGR Valve
Hey guys,
I decided to remove and clean out my EGR valve in hopes that my check engine light will finally go away. I almost have the EGR valve off except for the huge bolt that is right behind it. I unscrewed it but still can't seem to get it off. Can anyone who has removed the EGR please explain how to pull the huge bolt off.
Thanks

It's mounted on your header and recirculates some of the old exhaust gas back into the engine for emissions purposes I think it has to do with the control of nox gasses which are a bad thing for emissions control. I think some guys bypass the EGR for some sort of performance gain. If it gets too dirty the gas can't recirculate which will bring up and engine code and it will need to be cleaned for it to flow properly. Thats about all I can tell you.
