HELP!! timing advance question

Also make sure that when checking the timing, if you're not using the datalink connector, you have to jumper connections Te1 and E1 in the diagnostic block, otherwise you will not get an accurate reading.
Because the timing is adjusted dynamically based on many variables including the cam and crank position sensors, if the car is running correctly with a 10 deg btdc base timing, it's safe to assume that everything is doing its job.

well i have talked with them many times now, but they haven't gotten to my car. (it was in the body shop for a while) now they are going back to work on it, and hopefully they can get this solved. Thanks for all the info guys. I will be sure to keep you posted on the cause and or solution. Thanks again
