Completely Removing the EGR system

This is probably too late, but the information might be useful, anyway.
There's a conduit from #6 cylinder to the EGR cavity located on the back of the head. In lieu of a block off plate, I use a 9/16" expansion plug in the conduit to block of the exhaust gases. The hole might have to be opened up a bit with a dremel, but once the plug starts in, it will tap easily into place. However, once it's in... it's in.
The plug works like a champ and costs under 25 cents.
