Guys,
Well I got the tranny fluid flushed today at my local Toyota dealership. As has been mentioned earlier, the drain and fill only removes approx. 4 quarts so it is not recommended. Therefore I went with the flush. Our cars do use the T-4 while the 300's use the T-3.
He said that I had synthetic in there and that he recommended that I stick with that. Ended up costing me about $145, but that's just peanuts when it comes to my baby!!! I don't know whether it is psychological or not, but she feels a hell of a lot smoother!!
Thx for all the input guys,
Peace,
Jonny

i do the powerflush every 25k miles. I also go with toyota type-4 only with genuine toyota parts. I take it to a local oil change place where they have this machine called T-Tech tranny fluid changer. Normally it's $118+ $18 special oil upgrade. I think $145 is great price for a dealer performed power flush. My car always feels better after the power flush...

You can use dexron III for most transmissions as long as you use a friction modifying additive to convert it. Thats what we do at my work and nobody has ever come back saying it messed up their transmission.
