Help ASAP: My 5-speed SC3 wont start

Hey Aerostar,
Did you end up replacing the contacts or just cleaning them?
I took apart my starter yesterday and cleaned the contacts and the little outside trim on the disk with some sandpaper.
I'm about to do a full DIY writeup of the procedure but first want to know if it'll be usefull.

I actually changed out the contacts, because my old ones were oh so worn. Id recommend changing them rather then just the cleaning, but if you are low on funds, the cleaning will last you a few months. And that DIY tutorial would have been helpful, so im sure making that will help many in the future. Good luck
