i did some calling around to my local lexus and toyota dealerships to cross reference some part numbers for the serpt. belt tensioner.

the lexus newest/superseded part # is 16-620-owo26 Price $246.91
&
toyota's newest/superseded part # is also 16-620-owo26 Price $185.65

i asked for my car which is a '93 sc300 automatic.

So i'll be buying the toyota part since its cheapest of the two and an oem toyota part.
You do realize there are no "Lexus Parts" right? Regardless of which and where you buy it, it will be packaged as "Toyota" and will be the exact same thing the Lexus or Toyota dealer sell

Wow, that thread is some archaeological dig. Nomis and the rest, some good guys we had back then.

I can give you 6 years 60k miles update on my aftermarket tensioner from Dayco. No issues. I will be changing it again soon with new serpentine belt.

well there are certain parts that are only lexus parts such as interior parts for the SC's and GS's and so on... like the dash in my SC may have a toyota stamp on it somewhere but will Only fit in a lexus, so that makes it a lexus only part.

as for the motor i wanted to make sure by cross referencing part numbers.

i also saw that some twin turbo 2j's had a different tensioner and they (toyota dealership) even had different part numbers for different vin's/years.
