It was one of the bearings that pull the drive belt. IT was old and worn out and was making a LOT of noise at idle.

Anthracite SC, how much did you pay to get the main engine bearing replaced? As I'm thinking that's the real problem I'm having... and I was wrong with my intercooler hoses being loose... I stand corrected.

about 105 bucks
75 bucks for lable and like 20-30 bucks for the bearing.
I dunno the full isolated price because it was all factored into a full service for my car.

Are we still talking about a drivebelt bearing? The "main bearing" in the engine is something completely different. Just don't want anyone following the thread to get confused by this info. We are still talking about a drivebelt pulley bearing - right?

OKAY FOUND OUT THE REAL ISSUE
My power steering pump is making all the noise.
It's about to go.
I'm getting it replace for 300 bucks this weekend.
Hopefully the car will be back to normal then
