Acquired 94 Auto Supra TT diff, now with PIC!!!
A friend of mine here in Austin gave me the diff out of his 94 MKIV TT because he got a TRD diff. However, all the gave me was the center section (sans ring gear) The question I have is wther or not the ring gear out of my SC will bolt to this diff. If not I suppose I could always just go to toyota and get a new ring gear for it, BUT I have a feeling that it will work.
So, do any of you know if my assumptions are correct? I have a feeling that I should be able to swap my ring gear over to the supra diff and then re-shim it into the SC pumpkin, but I am not 100% sure on that.
on a side note, TorSen diff's are teh win

well I have the mechanical aptitude to be able to take the open center section out of the stock pumpkin and change out the ring gear, but I don't have the ability to shim in the new diff. However, the owner of the shop that I work for know people that are able to shim diffs for a good price.
If yall think this will work, I will go ahead and get started on it within the next couple of days

You should have no problems bolting it right on. You may not need shims...you are supposed to check the runout with a dial indicator and use shime only if the are needed. the only thing that I would suggest having is the shaft oil seals, its possible to damage them when taking everything apart. Just take your time.
