Guys I ran across this website for Supra part weights when looking for some info on Supra TT brake weight. Thought it might be useful for this thread, hope it isn't a dup.

Yeah, those younger-oriented hangouts aren't the best places to showoff your car.
You can brace a glass hood with a matt cor, balsa core, or fabricated/molded sections that look like the ones on the steel hood, as well as bond in pickup points for real latches.
Doors can be braced for side-impact with a steel tube added between the latch, and hinge areas. Still a lot of hassle for the gain IMO.
BTW the stock, drivers seat only weighed around 30 pounds or so if I remember, and the stock spare didn't really weigh that much either; don't you even have a bathroom scale?
Not that a reduction of a hundred pounds wouldn't help by just swapping seats and chucking the spare(it'd definately be noticeable).

Pry your hand out of the bucket of KFC and drop 50 lbs
Seriously, I forgot the post url but someone was able to save over a hundred pounds by changing all the bolts in his Supra to titanium replacements. Now that is labor intensive.

wether it weighs a lot or a little, its still saving weight and makes a difference
when i took them out on my mkiv, it wasn't b/c of weight reduction, but b/c i was fitting an aftermarket bumper, nevertheless, weight saved = go faster, wether its 1 lb or 100 lb
is it worth it? i think so.. unless you crash
take a look below, i think the crash wouldn't have been as bad if the rebar was there, right?

ok i weighed everything that i have pulled out of my car just to see what kind of weight ive lost. so far ive lost 200 lbs! heres the list its very short and basic stuff
stock seats-83lbs each
trunk carpet (the heavey one on top not the thinner piece that covers the spare)-6.5-lbs
back seats upper and lower- 25.5lbs
spare tire-52lbs
jack and all that stuff-8lbs
the new seats i put in were 24 lbs each i believe. so ive done pretty good i think with very few things
