Default Engine Management... What To Get First?

Hi guys,

Well my brand spankin' turbos are in... they feel GREAT! Not as quick as the original ceramics but when boost hits I need to feather the throttle so I don't hit the boost cut lol

Anyway, I'm not extracting the best performance out of them since I'm running stock engine management. I'm just wondering what's the most effective way to up the power? Cranking up the boost or sorting out the fuel (too rich)? Which would you guys go for first? I'm looking at getting either:
* A'PEXi S-AFCII and fuel tune
* GReddy eManage and fuel/ign tune
* A'PEXi AVC-R and tune

Which would you guys go for and why?

Cheers

Jose

Oh BTW,

I'm running stock EVERYTHING besides the turbos... stock injectors etc, so I will only be tuning up to the safe limit on these parts.

TIA

Jose

Hehehe thanks Dewsc300!

I dunno, I'm really thinking about getting 550cc's but only if I need that much fuel lol... I'm planning for around 450~500hp @ flywheel, would you know when the 440cc's run out of flow (running into wack duty cycles?!?!)

I wish my car was stick... it's an auto

how about a boost controller and a air/fuel controller?

have you done exhaust, intake and intercooler mods yet?

edit: just saw your sig, did you do downpipe upgrade yet? dont forget cam gears and pulleys, huge gains to be had there. good luck and happy boosting man.

AEM? Aren't they real expensive (for the unit, add-ons) and to tune? I dunno

Calvin, I've got a 3" cat. back exhaust system (inc. hi-flow cat, twin resonators), will be doing the downpipe (not the main Y-pipe off turbos yet, don't have enough cash for that yet), I'll have to look into an pulley kit (dunno if I should stick on cam gears... I'm running stock cams?).

Well, it looks like I'll be getting a GReddy eManage fitted and tuned within this month *crosses fingers*... wanna hit at least 200rwkw on the dyno ... pretty reasonable price too, about AUD$660 supplied and fitted, plus around AUD$120 for tuning What you guys think? Yay or nay?

Thanks

Jose

For the tunabilty you cant beat the price. Why do you think most of the supra guys are switching to it, or allready use it.

Hey, I dont know the first thing about the E-manage, but didnt Lex Luthor have nothing but trouble from that thing? I just dont want to see you going through that same ordeal, especially since you are on a pretty tight budget.

Default Hmm... Interesting!

Found an interesting article on the eManage from the search!

Greddy E-manage Round II

Mixed results, but it seems be centered around the MAF... and the fact that it's being used on the 2JZGE (distributor type) instead of factory Toyo turbo motors, so I'm thinking that using it on a 1JZGTE shouldn't be much of a hassle *crosses fingers*
