New Turbo Manifold
#16
Qt,
Great project and prep work even though it's not for the sc300. This is how a proper project is supposed to be done (autoCad and some sort of plan on paper).
I wish you were in NY. I definitely give you some business

I have a few questions for those who are truely interested.
The first to be built will be the tubular header for NA.
Any designs that you would prefer ie, 6-1 vs a tri-Y design. I'm getting ready in the next week or two to start modeling and I'm wondering what you all would like.
The stock logs appear to mimmic a tri-Y. I personally am aiming for a 6-1.
Also, flow vs actually equal length runners (i bring this up because sometimes a very tight radius is needed to achieve this and can possibly reduce flow.)
I'm concidering 1.50" primaries into a 2.50" collector. These will have a V-Band clamp to the exhaust. I like V-bands because they are easy and need no gaskets. If you don't like this idea let me know.
In regards to the primaries I'm actually going to pull the stock logs and measure the ports and go from there, rounding up to the next 1/8". So say the ports are 1.45" I'll go 1.50" primaries or if the ports are 1.55" I'll use a 1.625" primaries.
However, if you would like a different size primaries for a "well massaged" motor please let me know.
As I said before it will be 100% T304 stainless steal. With either 1/4" or 3/8" flanges.
I look forward to your respones and hope to get this project rolling soon, then on to the turbo manifolds.
PS Anything other comments are welcome.

Ahhh, come on guy, its the turbo mani's that we need first Ok Ok, if you have to make an NA header first then so far I like your idea. 6-1 definately. Tri-Y's are not worth it. Also I like the V-band idea. Hurry up and get it done so you can start making the turbo manifolds....
