Default Another Twin Turbo SC400?

hi guys-and girls.. my first post in this forum, so il try not to sound to new..i am almost done with a twin turbo sc400 im doing for a friend, and was wondering how many there are..ive been looking around, and cant seem to find many..
is there a secret club? just kidding..
i used 2 toyota ct26 turbos, ive had good luck with them.. and the turbos are up front, on top.. it was not that bad/difficult.. i have a small shop in the chicago area, and do all the fabing myself, and have been impressed with toyota stuff for a while..so i figured why not help my buddy with the sc out.. his car keeps getting mistaken for a local sc300 that has run 10s..i guess they do look similar, same color and wheels.. but the sc300 has the turbo conversion..SO, my friend finally decided to go turbo with his V8..
anyway, im bablin..il wait for replies....

hi guys, the car is running.. but i still need to finish some plumbing.. i had to relocate some of the reservoirs..id say its 95 % done..
i t has stainless 4 into 1 headers that go to the turbos, then goes into 3 inch downpipes then 3 inch exhaust on each side..and if i say so, it looks pretty &$%@ good..i did make some heat shields- i think heat/temp managment under the hood will be a concern.. especially when the owner drives like superman.. anyway, i tried posting a pic, i guess its to big--i WILL figure out how tomake the pic/image smaller.. and i will post pics latter tonight..
one last thing, if other guys would want this done to thier sc400--it would be no problem...EXCEPT--there is just not enough room for two turbos and 3 inch pipes with the AC compressor in place.. so in this case i removed it.. i did not want to spend to much time on the project-- i work by myself at my shop.. i t probably can still be used, but would require some more development time..

cost for the turbos and everything installed would be 5500-6000.. now thats parts and labor--using 2 toyota ct26s.. for an extra 750, i would make the rest of the exhaust--3 inch duals all the way back.. since i would be making everything anyway-there is a certain amount of flexibility for the turbos--which ones you would want.. but i have had good luck using the ct26s and i think there durability is proven.. and of course-they are toyota..
this may sound cheap to some guys and expensive to others..but since i do all the work myself, for myself i have a great amount of control as to what it cost me..
it does include the large intercooler..
now, all that being said--this twin system should be kept at low boost because nothing is done to the engine managment-or engine itself.. lower compression, forged pistons and more fuel would be the way to go for serious HP..
on this sc400 i will eventually add 8 more injectors and an in house extra injection controller a friend is developing for me.. again, i have had great success running extra injctors which come on when boost comes on.. anyway, im gonna try posting a pic again--if not i will be back online late tonight..

That sounds pretty cool. I think you will have a lot of people interested.

Where are you from? Since the car is being confused with quickturbo's (Chris T.) car then I assume you're local. Perhaps you should stop by one of our meets. We have a Chicago Lexus Club forum here on Clublexus.com.

Chris,

If you had the time and money, do you think this could be done without removing the air conditioning?

Nice work! Finally, all the talks are gone. I am so glad u got it done. Your setup looks very similar to mine single turbo. I have a T70 right now, but putting in a Garrett GT40 next week.

Very soon, Ryan aka SC400T will have his Single Turbo SC400. He is using the same GT turbo.
