Current/future mods
What mods would you want on your SC or have done on your SC?
Mine is bone stock as of now...
List of mods that I want to have done on my 94 SC400:
Exterior-
a. Clearcorners 95-96 tail
b. Clearcorners HID retrofit
c. Clearcorners Halo-high beam
d. Clearcorners LED side-marker/park lamp
e. Clearcorners LED cornering lamp
f. JDM power-fold mirrors
g. LED side mirror blinkers
h. Abflug eyelids
g. CF oem hood/trunk/LED spoiler
h. dark tints all around
Interior-
a. reupholstry black leather
b. LLS Blue Cathode climate
c. LLS blue Nak
d. LLS blue 32 and blue needles
e. cupholder
Performance-
a. Custom BFI3
b. Borla or Magna exhaust, deleted third cat, custom x-pipe (what's better x-pipe or straight through duals?), custom resonators and upper cats
c. Race headers
d. Forged pistons ( I WISH!!!!)
e. Dragon TC
f. Supercharger (again I wish)
g. upgraded cam gears, camshaft, all those great drivetrain goodies
h. N2O? (maybe if the car can handle it)
i. coilovers or air ride preferably air ride
j. strut tower, f/r sway bars
k. some sorta rims... haven't decided yet... can't find the perfect balance between VIP and sport, leaning more towards sporty
Misc.-
a. custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for 3 Alpine subs (not sure on size)
b. Alpine speakers all around
c. many Alpine amps
As you can see I have had a good history with Alpine
My previous car a 92 Celica GTS had 4 Alpine speakers and a 8" 300W Alpine sub, this car was very loud. Considering it is a smaller car that little 8incher strutted it stuff.
As of now I can't think of much else
Now your turn...

I like supercharged better because you get an increase in the powerband all across the board not just at higher revs like turbs do.
I mean don't get me wrong, more power is more power but I think the TTs wouldn't do the V8 justice. To unleash all that potential I think the supercharger would be best.

As for future mods, they'd be:
97 body conversion or AutoCouture kit
18x9 and 18x10.5 wheels that are classy
Custom fabbed intake plenum, custom self made manifold, 71mm Turbo, GTQ .81 housing, typical turbo stuff like a FMIC, AEM EMS, 3mm HG, and lots of boost.
Make a conservative 700 whp, and drive it.

Yeah... these guys here on CL know who's who and what's what when it comes to knowing what they want and what it'll do.
When they say they want TT over S/C... believe me, there's a solid reason for it...
Now, just to go TT while still keeping the A/C alive is supposedly the tricky part...

Hopefully by the spring of 2006 I will have/be purchasing:
Garrett GT40R
4" exhaust
AEM EMS
Crower Stage 2 Cams and gears
+1mm Valves and springs w/ ti retainers
Clevit 77 bearings
Custom manifold exhaust and intake
700cc/min injectors with twin walbros
LSD
That should make her scream to 8K rpms
and all the misc crap to go with it. That should be enough money spent for a few years.

Hmmm... guess I'm mistaken. I thought superchargers raised the power throughout the entire rev.
And that turbos just brought more power at the higher end revs.
Gonna need to look into that some more if I ever get money to make a TT or supercharged

I'm down for Turbo, because there is nothing like the sound of it, with the blow-off valve and everything.

So I guess turbocharging is much better than supercharging when it comes to overall performance?
BOV is definetly a plus, it sonds great that high pitch chirp.
Does anyone know the pros and cons for application of both supercharger or turbocharger on an SC4?
I know it's obvious that everyone with an SC3 should turbo because hell most of the stuff is bolt on. Being that it is a NA Supra engine. And not to mention the coveted 2JZ-GTE swap. Oh the power of a twin-turbo I6....
But anyway superchargers are more epensive for now because of the R&D involved. Few kits are out and I don't think their is a single US kit.
I'd think it might be pretty hard for a turbo to fit inside that engine though.... and we'd probably have to upgrade the intercooler, that's probably a must have anyway. I don't know of any aftermarket intercoolers...
