Turbo over supercharge. Because supercharger blowers are capable of spinning to around 60,000 rpm, while turbos spin up to over 90,000 rpm. Therefore, turbo=more kick, power, whatever you want to call it. Not only for that reason, but for what applications do you have, for example, do you have fuel management, etc. A turbo/supercharger is only good if tunned properly.

The nitrous is tempting decause of the price, but all the power comes at once and I know from friends experience the tranny is usually the first thing to break, if only there was an easy, reasonably priced single turbo kit or supercharger.

I lost my tranny after two years of running a 100hp+ dry nitrous system...I was just pushing around 300whp too...My car has 110,000 miles and had been serviced religiously...Yes, the nos is a jolt and will take it's effect on the drive shaft joints and the transmission itself...Note - I was not running a tranny cooler...However, the tranny did hold strong for two years and I punched my car almost one time a day for two years on average under the juice....It would slam in second gear which eventually broke down the drivetrain over time..

Just my two cents...

Forced air induction is gradual excelleration rather then a jolting burst like nitrous...My engine still purs though....I still run the nos system with now a stronger rebuilt tranny...

Oh and 200whp upgrade will cost you more then $5000, you need to go forgies, tranny work, larger injectors, engine management, etc....A 100whp goal would be considerable less...

Knew I should have went to college, I agree with morris, if you dont have 10grand at your disposal, no turbo, I guess I should change my other thread from reasonably priced engine enhancment to under $1000.00 engine enhancment, thanks for opening my eyes.

Yea it's called twin-charging. It's a lot of headache because of clearance issues and all the crazy amounts of piping.
I don't think it would work well with our engine bays.
I would go this route if I had the money.
