You are part of the reason I am supercharging mine Scott, I have followed your build and also Ryans with the Twin Turbo, so I have gone and committed myself to this. Mine will not look as smart as yours under the bonnet, I will be trying to get a finish that would end up looking like what would come from the factory.

I have 2 questions, first does coolant circulate through the intake of a 1uz, second does that whipple charger and manifold bolt directly to the 1uz block?

I am playing around with M112 from the Mustang Cobra. Supercharged LS400 Project with M112 It might or it might not work. However, the charger is being machine right now. Whipple.... i am drooling..... The M112 is around 350 on ebay. I pick one up almost free from a friend. However, you will need to some mods..... Richwood manifold provide the foundation for root and twin crew supercharger. Great stuff from Andrew....

Wow, This is good info, Keep me posted, I too have been looking at the M112 as a upgrade. Looks like you are deep into it. You are right on the hood clearance. I had to cut away the hood bracing under my hood to allow my M90 pulley to clear.

If you would like I could take some measurements from common places to help you out. (since your motor is not in the car)

Yeah Mate,

Too bad his website is underconstruction. He can do magic with those V8 engines. He carry a full line of supercharged products and great service too. As for my M112 I should get it back next week. I think I am 1/2" over the stock height. I am also making the stock TB close or similar to the original position so modification to the cables will be minimum.

I just got a 2.9" pulley on the M112 and we will see how it would perform on a 5.1L with 10.4:1 compression would do.

I got this last week.

No this is a kit put together by Andrew Mueller at Richwood Technologies here in Australia. He can set up his manifolds to suit just about any S/C you want to fit.

That pulley is for 6-7 lbs initial set up to see what improvements I get over my stock figures from a dyno day we had here earlier in the year. Early next year will be upgrading to 12 lbs pulley set, which will include going to 8 rib pulleys, injectors and piggy back, and compare the results then.

My goal is to end up with a very reliable responsive daily driver

I'm waiting patiently for you finish that one David, Neils got some plans for his one too, be interesting to compare the two when done.

PWD,

Don't wait for me. I am doing the stroker first. Let it run for a little and do some pre and post dyno on it. Then I might put in the M112. I am looking for Massive low end torque for my daily. With the M112 would be the bonus.

I was going to mention this as well. I have talked to Neil a little about him trying to get the Cobra M112 into his SC.

I definitely think that with both Neil and David tinkering with the M112, something viable has to result.

Great stuff on the advancements many are making on the Supercharger guys...Love that whipple...The sound of it as you are driving should be quite cool.... Again, more and more FI applications being jumped on by the community...Gotta love it. The SC will finally start getting the respect it deserves on the street, not jus tas a luxury coupe, but as a very powerful, torquey, and fast luxury coupe...

I love the effects of the supercharger, but I had to go turbo...Twins at that, as you all know...Crazy power. Oh well, it is only money...

Ryan
