Lesson learned, always DIY. Also are you still on your original valve cover gaskets? Because those tend to go out around 100k and could be contributing to your problem. I did mine a few weeks ago(because I too was burning/leaking oil) so if you need any help, you know who to ask

I used to lose 2 quaters of oil too until i changed my leaky valve cover gaskets. But if i think about it i still lose like a quart by the time 3k miles comes around. I'm happy as long as the oil light doesnt come on before the next oil change interval.

That's interesting Perry, I used to have a connection with one of the principals involved with the speedy/jiffy lube thing, it was his idea, and in the end the other partners wrote him out of the corporation! The first one was in Seattle in this funky little old gas station.

After seeing how my mom had driven around for several months with the distributor cap hanging loose after a "free inspection" at one of those places(new car), I'd have to have an active engine fire before I let those guys mess with ANYTHING.
I drive Toyotas for a reason; so I don't have to work on my car as much, trusting others to work on my car is difficult, just too many things to screw up, not enough skilled techs anymore.
