Just to kind of throw this out there... I was pouring over the SC400 wiring diagrams. Why not run/extend the Blk&Wht wire from Pin 76 to the P/N Switch to the clutch switch from an SC300 (which is a 3 wire switch. Main lead, Ground, and continuation) and reconnect it to the factory wiring just before the Split that completes the Black wire to Pin 77 and the starter relay. If you could get the plug for that switch off of an Sc300, you would just have to run the ground and then connect the extended wires to the others. This would pretty much do the same thing as the auto trans switch, but do it like a 5spd car would. This would allow the car to think its in Drive when the clutch is not depressed, but allow it to start when it is. I do not know if this would allow the Traction control to function, or if it would have an effect with the cruise control, but from the looks of it it should help.
