sc14 supercharger on V8 sc400 lexus
Hello all,
Maybe i am a tight *** but i was looking to Supercharge my V8 and as cheap as posible.
I do realise that my model is a little different to the version you have over there but exactly what differences i dont know.
I have freed up some drag on the motor by removing the Hydrualic Clutch Fan and replacing it with two Electric items.
I am aware that i can not use to much boost as the motor is not decompressed so i put my limit @ 7psi.
In Australia i can buy these little SC 14 Toyota Blowers for $250 each and with brackets, pipe work and putting the Radiator on a slant forward to fit it in. I expect to get out of this event for around $2000Aud.
Apparently the ECU will handle upto 40% power increase so that should be good for up to 270Kw.
This is more than what i need nor expect.
If anyone knows of anyone who has used these blowers in anything similar or has any knowledge to share, i would greatly appreciate it.
Regards
Stephen

Welcome to CL coffee. You're going to be better off posting questions about specific vehicles in their respective forums and in the proper subforum. As far as puting a SC on the 1uz, that has been discussed to the point of death in the SC400 forum and noone has done it yet in States. I can count the number of SC400's with Forced induction in the States on one hand and still have fingers left over. The guys on the Aussie Soarer site have tons more experience and have SC'd a few SC400s (Soarer 4.0's). Here's their site www.plantersoarer.com
These are the 2 most current threads on putting FI (turbo) on the 1uz. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=147035

Enjoy your stay and please use the Search Function in the upper left corner often because most problems and questions have been covered numerous times. If you're having trouble then feel free to ask. We're pretty helpful around here.
