have any of you tried the Kazama motor mounts? They are a little tight to fit at first but its the only strengthened mount I was able to find for my soarer. Well worth the money ended costing around 20000yen(so about $175) when I got mine. Think it should fit the 2jz mount points as it looks just like the 1jz's.

found this on the kazama mounts too...
"Kazama Auto SPL Engine Mount installs on the Toyota Soarer JZZ30 and Toyota Supra JZA80. These motor mounts are compatible with 1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-GE, and 2JZ-GTE motors.

For 1992 - 2000 Lexus SC300 / Toyota Soarer
For 1993 - 1998 Toyota Supra "

So at least it looks like this can be an option... just a bit pricey, but they do there job well.

If you buy new oem mounts they should be fine til you start making enough power to break other components.

I had to change mine because I broke both mounts clean through and didn't find out until I tried taking a few right hand sweeping turns. Once the car kicked out the powersteering pulley caught the battery tray... destroying parts of the belt, the pulley, and the making a nice notch in the battery tray. If any of you are drifting your SC's I would replace these mounts before the some similar stuff happens to yourselves.

Thanks for the info
My power goal is nearing an end, I'm staying Ca smog legal so up to what the stock turbos can hold boost for. I've heard around 500whp.
So hopefully new ones will hold.

a little outta context, but besides engine vibration how do you know your motor mounts need replacement? how about going by how miles on the odo as a standard? my car has been vibrating lately and maybe my mounts needs replacement as ive replaced everything else on the damn car, other than that maybe a new alignment is due.

Finally got mine and the other peices i was waiting for...

12360-ja800 TRD engine mounts 93-96 list 128.00 cost 116.00 ea (toyota)
12315-46090 Bracket, List 92.05 Cost 69.18 (toyota)
12311-46090 Bracket, List 103.60 Cost 77.85 (toyota)
12371-46040 5spd Transmission mount was around 60.00 (lexus)

should be installing them soon. i will let you guys know how much of a improvement it is. right now i know my engine mounts are gone they pop when come to a stop from hard braking. recently i lifted my car and i can see my transmission mount is sagging and hitting metal. im hoping this will solve the problems ive been experiencing lately.

You need 93-96 Supra motor mount brackets to use those TRD mounts on the GS same thing goes with the SC.
I are using the stock TT 93-96 mounts they look exactly just like the TRD one and i still have to get new brackets , but i bought the complete set mounts with brackets.

How much better are the TRD mounts, in comparison to the TT mounts?
