Guys,

OK - I got the magnaflows installed. I ended up running dual 2.5" pipe from after the cats, custom X pipe, removed the 3rd cat and all resonators, dual all the way back to my 2 Magnaflow 14829's. I paid the extra money to have the pipes mandrel bent instead of regular. This is supposed to help airflow immensely.

I ended up paying $280 for the install and $190 or so for the mufflers.

I honestly could not be any happier with the work. As soon as I can get my car on a lift I will take some pictures of the exceptional work.

The car sounds incredible!! I felt a huge difference when I drove it. Stomped on the gas and my head went flying back!!

Y'all want pics and video huh!!

I highly recommend this to any SC4 owners.

Peace,
Jonny

Good decision. I wish I could get mandrel bent pipes here in LA, but I don't know of any shops that can...they only do the crush-bending around here (damnit!). So tell us, how noticable of a difference was it? Worth every cent?

I am working on it man!!! Since I have been back the weather has sucked - so I am waiting to take some nice pics - not some rushed crappy ones. Don't want to spoil the effect!!

Video will be posted soon,

Peace,
Jonny

Mike,

In all honesty, the difference was a lot more than I ever expected. On my last SC4, I had the same dual setup, but they were not mandrel bends and I stuck with the stock mufflers. I thought I liked that sound.

Until this

I would do it again in a heartbeat, definitely worth every penny! It looks incredible, and the sound - I love it. Not loud or obnoxious, but incredibly gratifying and attention seeking.

I think it sounds more like an exotic sportscar now than anything else. I would hate to try and guess the HP increase, so I won't But it was certainly a very noticeable difference.

As soon as Josh (Senator) can get some free time I will get him to record the car for me with my camera while I give her some juice!!

Peace,
Jonny

Man I need to get me some of those mandrel bent pipes! I've looked high and low here in LA but haven't been able to find a muffler shop that has a mandrel bending machine. Darnit!!

Dawg,

If we have them in Tulsa, Oklahoma - you gotta have them in LA!!!

Look in the yellow pages for mandrel piping and maybe someone there might be able to point you in the right direction.

IMHO, I would hold off until you can find someone who does it. Worth the wait!!

Peace,
Jonny

hottexhaust.com is magnaflow's direct internet site.

a few shops should even be able to order mandrel bent piping sections and piece it together for you...

Heres my exhaust that I recently re-done for the 3 time around...Magnaflow X pipe, 2.25 pipes..You guys get the idea...This new exhaust makes my car run so much smoother than my previous setup...Feels like getting a new car all over again..

I found the code for extra 10% from hottexhaust.com off its "hottsavings". I should be ordering my mufflers soon. I will go with 14827 or 14850/1 not sure yet lol.
