Default SC400 Engine Noise

My SC400 is starting to have a noise when in gear at idle. It has sounded to me like a bearing going out and when I described it to a mechanic he said it sounded like the cam belt tensioners (?) bearings. Does this sound right? This guy had a Testarossa out front of his shop. He does all the hot foreign cars around here. I think he knows what's up. I'd like to hear from the experts here what it could be. I don't see any mentions of any sort of engine problems as typical (only valve adjustment). I have neglected the oil changes a bit, but not really bad and I really don't rag on this car all the time. He said this is the normal maintenance for this engine at this mileage. What do you guys think?

I can make a video of the noise maybe and share it to give a better idea. It doesn't do it all the time. Only occasionally, but I'm sure it's going to get worse. Any ideas on costs? Any guides on DIY for this if that's what it is? I've got more time than money.

I may have the same noise. It's a high-pitched squeeking/worn bearing sort of noise and only happens when the car is in gear (if I put it in neutral, it goes away). And it is not too loud- I only hear it when the car is near a wall and I have my window down, so it reflects off the wall and bounces into the open window.

Such a scenario only happens in the drive-thru lane, so if it wasn't for my addiction to In-and-Out burgers, I may have never noticed it.

My noise is more of a low clacking (?) sound. I can feel it too. It doesn't sound real pretty. I do think it could be a bearing though.

Oh, we may not have the same issue, then- I certainly don't feel mine.
