Need advice -changing v8 dist. cap cover on passenger side, -difficult to remove
Hi
I am replacing the cap and rotor on my 97'SC400, but removing the left access cover is not coming out easily.
Do I need to remove the serpentine fan belt?
Do I need to remove the radiator hose to easily access it?
ANY other hints or ideas in getting to that darn cover are appreciated. It appears I need to completely remove that cover to access and remove the cap.
Any especially difficult bolts that need removing?

WHAT??? I didn't go through all that replacing mine about a month ago. I did take off the air filter box and hose behind it. I did not mess with timing belt cover or anything like that. Good luck, it wasn't that difficult and I am NOT a mechanic and this was my first time doing it. Took me maybe 30 minutes to replace each side.

Its the cover that protects the passenger side cap that is a pain to take out and was wondering how others did it, or if there were any special things to look out for
