I had a problem like this, i thought my radator was leaking casue there was damage to the fins on it, so i replaced it but the problem was still there. I checked and checked couldnt find anythign leaking. Then later on I noticed there was a small leaking comming from the heater control valve. So you might want to check that out and see if its leaking coolent fromt there.

Ok, I think I have figured it out....It isnt the HCV I dont think.. I looked at it after driving and all and no leaks! Heater works good too! I checked the bottom of the overflow hose from the coolant resevoir and it was wet with green coolant. I will get a new rese cap. One interesting thing happened the other day that I left out. At about midday I had added water to the resevoir and then drove to school and back. Later that night when I went back out to check the level, there were many bubbles in the resevoir I know I didnt use soap water So I guess the lost suction made bubbles in the resevoir? who knows. Im gonna get a new cap.

Default antifreeze smell

was having the same problem with the disappearing antifreeze i my resevoir with no leaks had a friend from toyota check it was a tiny hole in the hose between heater core and engine block when the pressure tested it was spitting out but no leak at regular idle when not moving

yeah pressure testing the cooling system is the only solution. Run about 8 psi in there and you should defiantly hear/see the leak
