My '93 5spd idles at 800rpm when warmed up in neutral.

Got a new air filter. I'll clean out the intake again tomorrow. Last time I had to scrub it to get anything out.

My idle usually starts out at about 1400, then 1100, then down to 700-800 when its warm.

I do burn some oil I think, but I also do get it close to redline probably on a daily basis so maybe that has something to do with the oil burning. I do have good compression in the engine. Oh well I guess I'll just end up having to live with it.

Ok that's good. The repair manual says 700 +/- 50 rpm, 800 is right around there so that looks normal.

Put in a 2jz-gte Supra TT. I get 27.5 mpg on highway with light throttle and never getting on boost. Get on boost and drive the whip hard, then I get 15-18 mpg and making ~375 hp. This was an unexpected and pleasant outcome for the money and time I've spent.

i also have a 92 5speed and i get 18.6 on average around town shifting at 3000 on the dot, but i make shure not to be in to low of a gear cuz if your dragging around in a gear that is too high its worse than more rpm and less pedal. and i get 22-25 on the highway at 3000rpm and 27 if i use the cruise controle. oh and the car has 189,000miles and i change the oil and filter religiously.

Those are amazing/stunning numbers using crz. I never got anything past 22mpg on the hwy no matter what and I'm talking about freewheeling down long grades & other tactics. 18 city was common, 20 avg over all was common. This was all before the recent TT swap that does get me 27.5 hwy, no boost ~65-70mph on crz
