QUESTION FOR CL: Does anyone have a High Amp Output Alternator? The ones that put out more than stock 100 amps? Any suggestions on the best places to find these high amp alternators?

Yes, pm me.

JP sells the high-output alternators for somewhere in the ballpark of $500.

I believe they do but you have to switch the wires around on the connector

going to install a new serpentine belt today to see if the alternator is truly broken or if the AC compressor pulley is seized. Funny thing. I tried spinning all pullies again only to find the alternator pulley being the hardest to spin.... not as freely.

didn't have to install a new belt. I compared the pulley free spin to a new alternator's pulley and it looks like the bearing on the alternator that is in my car right now is slowly seizing up. SO, as a result, I just ordered a new alternator from http://www.starteralternator.com/

I'm going to have the car towed to my mechanic to have them install the alternator. I think it needs some rewiring.

Ok so I had my car flatbedded over to my shop. We look at my current alternator on the car. We spin the pulley and it turns fine, but it makes a squeeking sound when it spins.

BTW: AAA is not great with towing lowered cars with body kits. They sent a stupid 20 yr old kid to tow my car!
