I am doing this EGR block tomarrow, just want a little info on the transistor placement to fool the ECU? I have the block kit and transistor but I am not sure where it is to be placed. Any info or pics would be great. Also I am wondering what to expect from this EGR block and if any noticeable power gains were made after the bocker was installed?

Hey
Does this "kit" include a block off plate for the exhaust manifold?
I'd like to go all the way down to the manifold... cause I'm just afraid of gunk build-up inside that pipe.
BTW
let us know how it goes.

EGR continued
I need an answer to this:
-------------------
Since I only have the Transister on the engine and did not do the EGR delete... Does this STOP any CEL codes from coming up or just the "bad EGR" code?
I'm having other issues now with my AC and I need to know if I need to temporarily take the transister back off to investigate the AC issue.
Anyone?

I posted this same question on
Lextreme as well.
Thanks in advance!

thanks for the info on the resistor value...I know this is a old post..
after finally getting my knock sensor codes to go away..i had code 71.
so for 10 dollars i deleted most of my egr stuff.....i didnt mess with my pipe.I just left it hooked up for now.
I removed the VSV for evap...and the vsv for fuel pressure control..both these i put the 10k ohm resistor in also.so that is 3 resistors needed.
I was left with 2 vacuum lines.so i put a 3 way and ran them into the front of the intake
one was for the fuel pressure regulator...and the other line came up from the charcoal canister i believe
car seems to run good.and best of all no codes so far.
for reference i have a 92 ls400

already did a egr delete and if i can remove this it will save me some space and head ace. can i remove this? do i just leave the plugs hanging unplug or put a resister in them?
st to make sure befor i put it back together
thanks!

egr resistor no luck
after installing this kit, and putting the resistor in the egr temp sensor plug, my car is still throwing CEL code 71. Anyone know what to do?? first thing is recheck the connection and make sure the resistor they threw in is actually good, or the right one even....
why the hell do these thing come with no instructions.

And last but most important. After removing EGR stuff you MUST make that ecu still thinking EGR is perfectly working or you will have 71 code again.
That is done by simple cheap resistor 10k-ohm, 1/2 watt. You find it in every electronic parts shop. Put it in plug that is for EGR probe and that will fool ecu and you will never ever have 71 error code. Next put some tape on it: that help keep moisture and dirt from plugs.
resistors. you need ONE.

the 10ohm resistor is installed, but do I need to do something with the 6 PIN EGR plug also??
