What makes me think its worth it to boost the SC is simply the expression of whoever attempts to race me on the road, and when I have a feeling I can take them or that it will be a good run. It makes me feel proud of what I have when that V8 owner gives me props. Im sure Scott remembers what happened when my fiance was toying with that Trans Am that was on i4. Thats only one of many occasions i've had with the car

I'm prolly on the nutty end of the SC300 scale. Would I do it all over again. I think so. I think that I could have bought another house, invested in stocks tor whatever, but bottom line is everyone needs a hobby, and outlet. My car is that for sure. Just do it and get to pickin on the vipers. Besides what else can you make stoopid fast for under 40K including the car? NADA.

Remember this stuff gets expensive quick:
Coilovers and Sway Bars ~ $2k
Brakes ~ $500-$5k
Rims and tires (done right) ~ $5k-$8k
Turbo Kit ~ $4k
Everything missing in a low cost turbo kit to make a complete kit ~ $3k
Upgrading to a real good stuff (AEM, etc) ~ $1500
Fuel Upgrades ~ $1000
Upgraded diff ~ $1k
Go 2JZ-GTE also ~ add $5K
Upgrade to 6spd Getrag - from manual ~ $5k - from auto ~ $7k
Make it look good (powdercoating, respray engine bay, polish everything) ~ $0-$5k
If you are a working person with little time on their hands then expect to pay a lot for labor. I have had my SCs in shops collectively for 24 months.
Would I do it again? Well, heck, I am still modding and upgrading the SC300 on a monthly basis.

You only live once...
Well I dont have boost yet. I was debating the same thing at times I just want to sell my car and get g35 but sooner or later you want boost well thats how it is with me. I had a 97 240sx with sr20 swap and upgraded turbo(hks 2540) I only kept that car for about 2 yrs. I sold it because I was buying a house etc. I regret it sometimes. I learned a lot while I had this car it can be an expensive hobby. It was worth the look on the other driver's face especially those wrx guys lol. I I will be boosting again hopefully. Even if I do get g35 I will want to boost it so I figure I have no note on my SC might as well keep it. As far as boosting Im not sure NA-T, 1J, or 2J. I'm saving now and checking out options. Also plan on getting a beater lol.
