Well of course. But what I was trying to ask was the average MPG on the 1jz. . Since gas prices have gone up like crazy I was just curious.Heh

Well, turbo cars DO require more fuel to burn with all the extra air, so draw your own conclusions

A turbo car can be pretty fuel efficient, since there is no extra fuel being added when the engine is cruising and in vaccuum. My SR20DET always saw better gas milage overall than my KA24DE in my S13, and I'm wondering, with a similar drop in displacement (2.4 to 2.0 vs 3.0 to 2.5) whether people had seen anything similar. I know modifications have a lot of bearing on this as well, but I was seeing about 4-5 MPG improvement, despite really enjoying the sound of my B.O.V.

I'd still like to hear some "real world" MPG ratings on the 1JZ-GTE in "normal" driving. I've been driving a FC3S Turbo II for the past year, and I was estatic when I saw 15 mpg... I'd seen as low as 8 (being really, really bad, but hellaciously fast ; ) )
