looks like from these pics; that the flange itself is the same, but needs to be rotated counterclockwise by about 20-30deg

make sure you also measure the diameter of the pipe itself. The flange may be shaped the same to easily make it assumable that its interchangable but the sizing may be different. I know for a fact that the jdm and usdm downpipes do NOT match. I found this out when an mkiv friend of mine picked up a greddy turbo back 4" system from japan that was supposed to bolt right on. For whatever reason we decided to work from the back to the front. After fighting with the v-bands for quite some time it was finally time to bolt it up to the collector only to find the jdm exhaust flange was too small for the usdm TT output flange. Solution: Reflange the DP to mate up to the stock manifold.

Point of the story is you can use a mkiv DP with the worst case and probably scenario being that you have to reflange the turbo side of the pipe.

Can someone measure the distance between studs on the 1jz downpipe (or the turbo y-pipe outlet)? I have a standard 3" 3-bolt flange that the MKIV uses and I can take other measurements on it here...

Well you would need some kind of flared piping to attach to the flange if your looking to go bigger than factory.

-Does the supra TT downpipe bolt up to the 1JZ exhuast manifold? No, not without modification (if at all)
If you have a twin turbo 1JZ then the downpipe is actually a two parter... the top piece that Gamer showed is the top part (I'm not referring to the Y pipe either... the pipe below the Y pipe is the upper piece) which is different than the Supra's top part but the Soarer and Supra share the same 2nd part of the downpipe/straightpipe. So far the only place I could find to get the top part was APEX and I had to wait over 1 month cause Apex had none in stock at the time I ordered. Can't imagine it is a heavily stocked part these days. The Apex one has a flex pipe and is stainless as well. Apex also makes the 2nd piece that the soarer and supra share also stainless( I believe they are part of the GT lineup) , but that piece sits very low and drags on just about everything if you car is lowered. They are both 80mm piping (top most flange is 75mm but from there everything goes 80mm.)
