So now I'm getting a code 24 IAT sensor. What is that, where is it, and would it keep my car from starting?

Ok so I finally got a shop manual off Ebay. That IAT code went away BTW..that was just from swapping out MAF with a buddy. Anyway, I've got a few questions now that I have the manual to turn to. The troubleshooting matrix for Does not start/No complete combustion is as follows:

1. Fuel pump ecu
2. Ignition coil
3. Distributor
4. Spark plugs
5. Ignition signal circuit (spark test)
6. Injector circuit.

Ok, so in regards to the fuel pump ecu, when I turn the key on I can hear the fuel pump running and when I hold the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter you can feel fuel running through it..Does that mean my fuel pump ecu is working fine or should I check it further? I also loosened the FPR fitting and cranked the car and fuel sprayed out so I assume the fuel pump, fuel pump ecu, and fuel filter are in working order, right?

In regards to the coil, distributor, plugs, and spark test, there is spark in the wire from the coil to the distributor cap and from the spark plug wires to the plugs. All my plugs are about 2 months old and the front two look fine (don't want to pull the intake manifold because I don't see how 4 2 month old plugs could just spontaniously die). So that eliminates the coil, ignitor, and distributor being the problem right?

What next guys? Someone mentioned the crank position sensor..is that a common problem? I'm tempted to try the fuel pump ecu bypass but it seems to me that I would have fuel at the fuel rail if the ecu was messed up.

At any rate I'm tempted more and more each day to haul it to the local Toyota dealer and have them fix it. I've been driving my 86 Civic for a month now and it's getting old.

Thanks in advance!

Well the battery is dead from sitting for so long so to start it I have to jump it off of my other car so it has plenty of power to crank then.

Is that bad?

Well atleast I found the problem. I did the 12V fuel pump mod along the way too so it all works out. Anyone know the cheapest place to buy a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc.?

Now I've got to debate on whether or not to fix this go ahead with a 1JZ swap.
