Swapped 1JZ Soarer engine into 92 SC300.
Water temp works perfect
Tach works perfect
I have no Check Engine Light, and no Airbag Light (both of them don't even light up at startup when I give contact with the ignition key). Not sure if they are even connected.
1JZ idles at steady 700rpm, runs nice and strong.
El-cheapo OBX-R boost gauge shows -15 in/HG vacuum at steady warmed-up idle.
Highest boost in 3rd, 4th and 5th is 8PSI, holds it rock solid.
Does the above sound right? I thought stock boost was 10-11PSI, like on the Supra? Maybe there is a vacuum leak under pressure...whats the best way to troubleshoot this?
PS Engine is running stock boost, only mods are FMIC, Blitz BOV, intake, Walbro pump and ACT 6-puck. Running straight exhaust too (stock mufflers), no cats.
