help getting egr pipe out of intake
im in the middle of removing my egr system.... but i cant get the big bar that goes in out intake out of there. ive pulled sooooooooooooo hard and it wont budge at all. i threaded a wire through it to pull, but every time i try to pull it out my loop of wire gets undone no mattter how crazy of a knot i try to make.
for those who have done this mod: was the pipe really that hard to pull out, or am i doing osmething wrong? (and yes i did take out the screw that holds it in place)
thanks

well, if you dont need it anymore, just cut it out with either a sawzall or a cutting wheel. if you dont want to cut it, then just get a 3 foot pri bar, and pry like hell. thats what i did! good luck.
ot: if your blocking off your EGR, where did you get the plates, and how much? i havent seen them for less than $60. thanks.

looking at the motor, go in from the top left at a downward angle to right between the pipen and the intake, then pry back. have you removed the bottom from the motor yet? make sure its good and loose, so you can get the top out.

those directions make me suspect we arent talkign about the same part.....
im talking about the bar that is inside the intake track, it crosses the track right at the split of the y pipe.
regardless, i just left the bar in the intake and finished the project, so now i am egr-less but i still have the stupid pipe in there
