$4500 for a manual 5speed SC or $2500 and convert it? (doing 1JZ swap, too)

edit: nm, saw it was auto. 4500 (after tax / title) seems decent for a manual SC that seems to be in perfect condition. The manuals have such a high markup A similar SC on eBay with 160k miles (big difference, but still) went for 6100.

hmm..What do you consider "high mark up" I thought I got my car for a decent price if not a extremely good price. Before I bought it I KBBed it and it was quoted around 11G's. But I managed to get it for 9,000. I guess you just gotta be patient and look around?

P.S. My car is a black on black 96 5spd had 104,000 Miles. Interior looks brand new. Car runs great no dings clean title.Haven't had to replace a single thing on it yet and I've had it for more than a year.

Well, not quite a mark-up when considering KBB value... I just mean that on average, it seems that 5speed SC300s sell for a lot more than an automatic of the same year, condition, and milage.

Well, the stealership wanted to charge me way over the quoted price, so I passed on that Lexus.

I'm picking my 92 manual SC w/200k up tomorrow morning for $3800... does that sound like a decent deal? I'm saving $800 over what the dealership wanted to charge me for the same condition and milage.

3800 is a great deal as long as its in good condition and its kept up with its maintanence schedule.

I vote for AUTO. I 'm not young anymore. Driving around town with twin plate clutch is killing me.
