littles, I believe there is an excellent auto-6 speed swap step-by-step article on www.mkiv.com that should be of much help. I'm considering doing the same thing, so if you could chronicle your auto-manual swap experience that would be helpful to me too .

Did you get the manual driveshaft and rear end as well?

You can use the stock rear with your 5speed drive shafts. The only difference with those rears are the ratios. The auto diff has a 3.7 and the 5speed has 3.2. Oh so I hear. The swap doesnt seem so hard to do.

Also, do you have the whole 5speed transmission or just gearbox (without the bellhousing)? Im not sure if just using the gearbox will do it but if it can go for it. As for the flywheel, I hear you can use the same one off the stock auto tranny. You will need the 5speed driveshafts. 5speed diff. is optional. You will need the master and slave cylinders. And last but not least the 5speed ECU. You can use your AUTO one but its not the same because you'll be getting weird timing so its just best to go with the 5speed's ECU.
