Well if you're going to build it.. why not just use the original tranny and not have any issues.....

Boost Logic has made a few dozen 9 second second passes on there GE tranny that has been built, I can guarantee you that the car is making over 500rwhp - and it's being abused & won't break. The SAME hardparts go into the two different trannies - one isn't stronger than the other. I'm quoting this info on a talk I had with Kean @ Boost Logic...

700rwhp is still pushing it even for a BL/SP built toyo tranny.

Trying to remember which NA-T car from BL has gone 9's? I also remember someone here on the board that used a BL GE Tranny and it failed very quickly if I remember right.

Your memory is good. My BL built NA tranny failed in short order with just over 400whp. And there was no abuse.
Kean or Zohair posted awhile back on SF that the 9 sec pass tranny figures were for their TT built tranny not the NA built tranny. You think they bolted ta NA tranny to there 9sec TT motor using a cable to control line pressure? And the 2 trannies are not the same. The TT tranny uses more clutch plates which is why it is stronger.
Be careful of what you guarantee.

Unhappy

maybe that is why boost logic does not warranty their NA auto transmissions?

Even their built autos aren't standing up to many passes from what I hear. But then again, what do I know.

If you want to run serious power, step up to a 3spd and drop a 6spd rear in there.

I didn't guarantee anything.... Boost Logic has a 9 second na-t car - why wouldnt they be using the na tranny? I suppose your tranny was one of the first ones out? A few people had problems with the first batch.......

from what i read on their site their built auto tt trannys are very good, they have one in a 900hp supra that has made over 40 low 10 sec passes and has registered over 25000 miles with no problems thus far

Boost Logic MKIV TT Auto Upgraded Transmission

This transmission was tested and developed on BoostLogic’s 9 sec@142mph daily driven street Supra. This transmission has been tested for over 25,000 miles and counting, as the Supra it was tested on is a daily driver. More than 40 low 10 second passes have been made on this transmission and it still drives like the day it was put in. It shifts FIRMLY and INSTANTLY. It doesn’t shift too hard to daily drive but will HOLD the power at the track. Many cars have been using this transmission and are loving it. The price of this transmission does not do justice to the level of performance this transmission puts out. The transmission is half the price compared to other competitors and is PROVEN to run 9's in the 1/4 mile. A working core exchange is required. Call for more details.

see, its a tt tranny
