It's bi-annual with a random chance of being sent to the referee if I get pulled over (meaning I'd have to get my car inspected by a full-on ****, much worse than any SMOG technician).

It's possible to fully register and SMOG a GTE swap though, as long as the GTE engine is newer than my car. Ahhh...that would be sooo nice.

It's still not that simple, which is the reason I have yet to do this swap. Don't regret having a NA-T in California because your screwed either way.

Taken from superstreetonline.com..

"In California, the law says that an engine must be of the same year or newer as the car and be California emissions-legal. To avoid any hassles, it should also be of the same engine type that was originally available from the factory in that particular body style. Hmm, that's kind of a problem."

slow down there turbo!....... theres this little thing called school i need to get out of the way first.... and mommy and daddy aint gonna pay for a turbo. Plus the fact that i like to do my research on anything before investing a couple grand into a car that i may or may not keep... Rome wasn't built in a day....... or a year... bro!
