Check out the wealth of info from: http://www.planetsoarer.com/. Tons of great stuff on our cars. These guys just don`t talk, they test everything on dinos and on the track too. I highly recomend you read up on all the great info on exhaust before you do anything. Don`t just listen to everyone here who don`t do the testing and research, to see what does work best in our cars.

pipe, not 2.250" like you said you wanted. Ask for the part # on the 2.250" if that is what you are going with. Also you want to make sure that muffler shop is Mandrel Bending the pipe, NOT crush bending. Crush bending restricts the flow by crushing the pipe. Mandrel bends retain the inside diameter of the pipe and keeps that exhaust flowing smooth.

Mmmmmmmmm Maaagnafloooooooowwwwwwwwww
I've been strongly considering these. Not for quality obviously, just ....... "how loud DO i want my SC" is the driving question in the back of my mind. I prefer it to stay quiet, but i loooooooove the rumbling low tones.

man...after hearing this video clip I am opting for 2.5" piping, no resonators and straight to the magnaflows. it would have a nice deep throaty purrrr

so what exactly is your setup going to be?

Here's what I had in mind, starting from the engine and ending at the back of the car:
1. Engine
2. stock headers
3. replace existing 10 y/o old cat with a new one (not sure which model #, will have to do more research)
4. 2.5 inch piping towards the bottom of the car
5. replace another existing cat with new hi-flo one, model #98006 (i'm assuming this is cali legal)
6. 2.5 inch piping that branches out into two 2.25 inch piping (a y-pipe to do this)
7. piping goes into the Magnaflow exhausts.
- all pipes are to be mendrel bent to maintain interior diameters for max. air flow as oppose to crush bent.
here's an image of one of the cats:

image of the 2.5" y-pipe:

I would like to install the exhausts tucked and with a one finger gap from the bottom of the bumper as shown here (i forgot who's picture this is but it is from someone here):
hope this helps. please comment on my set-up...if it's wrong/right, etc.
thanks
