I'm hoping to be done with the install by monday or tuesday. The oil pan write up with pics and some videos will follow. I gave up on trying to fish the washer out since it's difficult for me to seperate the lower oil pan even when I broke the oil seal in a few areas...there's just not enough room for me to work with the engine in the car...so I'm letting professionals do it for me since they have a lift and proper tools. Yes, I'm leaving the washer in the oil pan and driving it like that to a shop .

Exhaust removal complete and now a sneak peak:

After cutting off the tip of one stud, I went back to mock/test fitting the manifold just to make sure everything was ok. The stud length was shorter by just the right amount, BUT now I notice the nuts keep hitting the runners so I can't even get the manifold on! Keep in mind this is the FIRST daveH manifold ever sold for the 2JZ-GE and daveH assured me the current manifolds he sells do not have this problem since they were revised accordingly. But, I need a solution for this problem to complete the project...it's the only thing holding me back now.

Oil Return Flange complete. Waiting on those "special" Boost Logic 14mm nuts.

Here are some test mounts of all the stuff excluding the wastegate because it keeps hitting the motor mount shield! . I'm hoping this is because everything is loosely put together including the manifold and not tied down tight. It seems that I MIGHT have to cut that motor mount shield to fit the wastegate . Does anyone forsee this as creating more problems in the future?

what did you do about that washer? I don't recommend putting everything on until you get that issue resolved. Oh yeah don't forget to put all the gaskets in place and used gasket sealer or something too.

I'm driving the car with the washer in their to my Lexus shop so they can take it out for me. I just don't have the proper tools to do it myself. Lexus mechanics told me I shouldn't have a problem driving it like this. I think when the engine does torque under high instant revs, it torques towards the drivers side. So hopefully, this will still work ok. The boost logic package was damaged and the nuts fell out, so Kean is sending me a replacement that will hopefully be here unharmed tomorrow. In the meantime I thought I'd educate myself and others about the 40mm Tial Sports Wastegate with alleged 6psi spring:

Unhappy

A new problem delaying the project I can fit the wastegate on, but it's only 0.5 inches away from the sidewall and it touches the engine mount shield! :
