Question

Oh no! The "supra TT fuel pump" upgrade is not as plug and play as a I thought . What did you all do to make it fit the stock NA clip? This is from a 1995 Lexus SC300 5 speed. Help from you more experienced folks would be much appreciated since my car HAS to be running in a few hours :fingersx: .

Stock NA Fuel pump = LEFT. Supra TT fuel pump = RIGHT.

No Fear. I have an easy solution . Basically, you add 2 stainless steel hose clamps with a sliced fuel hose between the metal bracket and fuel pump to keep everything secure. In the middle of the process it should look like this:

Here is the BEFORE:

Until I get that fuel pic up, here's my latest update pic :

Question

How do I remove this can? I need more space to properly cut a hole for the vacuum hose going to the map-ecu.

you dont have to cut a hole, route the vaccum line thru the fender hole by the canister, and then route the line inside to the cabin thru a rubber grommet near the area where the fender and firewall meet, you will have to remove the fender liner to see what i am talking about.

when i bolt down that rubber piece, the vaccuum hose would be squished shut. Therefore, I have to cut a small hole in that rubber piece that covers the firewall hole correct?

a tiny slit will do the trick. just enough to get the hose through but not too much to let water through

yes you can. most gauges come with a gromit and line for you to drill through though. this is to redule how large the line is coming into the cabin and help with accuracy. i would make a hole for the boost gauge since it will be on the driver's side instead of the passenger side where the ecu is.

Question

MAP-ECU mounting idea: I like a similar layout like this because everything is at the same level and will not be a "bump" for a passenger's legs, thus decreasing the already little leg room available. It seems like I'll need to make 2 custom brackets to make this work, but I'm worried about anything shorting out. Can I just leave everything "as is" in the picture? It seems like three boxes will be plenty stable with the carpet over it. What do you all think?

I've decided to use 3M Exterior double side tape since it's easy to find, use, and seems like it will work great. Anyone agree/disagree?
