Squeeking = bad throwout bearing

Hard to press = buy a Volkswagen

I DID have the problem (110,000 miles will do that), but after replacing my throwout bearing (along with clutch, pp, pilot bearing, rear main seal), my clutch is nice and quiet

I had the same problem, when i pulled the clutch it turns out that the hardness was because the pressure plate had collapsed. I'm not sure what the squeaking was from but a new clutch kit cured it for sure.
