I just took the resonators off my 300, I like how it sounds. I welded on some better looking tips too...

I heard/drove an LS400 with magnaflows, and I don't know if it was the 20's on it or the combination of the two that just made me think it was ghetto.....

Maybe it's just that it was an LS though... But it was snarley sounding... Definitely not like a 540i, with that mellow, throaty sound without the rasp at higher rpm's....

I personally don't want my rig to sound like a rustang' or a camaro..... The oem sound minus resonators might do the trick for me, though I haven't gotten to that part yet....

The "rasp" at high rpms you are wanting to hear is just the exhaust gas trying to pass through from the cat...its called restriction.

I don't know who you're responding to, but I don't want to hear rasp-- It does seem like mandrel bent systems are smoother/mellower sounding and less raspy.. And there are some pretty inefficient spots in the stock exhaust tubing....

Namely that Y just before the large cat ---- seems to be restrictive to me--

i got borla 3"in 3"out tube muffs w\ borla high flow cats
they sound good and deep but not raspy
to me, it's a good choice

for a SC300 id go with the fujitsubo legalis r (a have the set up..id love to put up a sound clip but the only real difference is that itsa much lower exhaust tone and just as quite at idle..this set up is cat back
