3-way LSD ?
I read about this welded diff on this website: http://www.shockdrifting.com/weldlocd.html
Do you think its a good thing to do on SC300 diff for racing/autocross/drift purposes?

If all you want to do with that differential is run it on a track then it's not a bad idea. Not a huge investment if something goes wrong. When you weld your differential like that though, you've ruined it's streetability. Bottom line: if its not a pure track car, don't do it.

What would be the cost effective solution to having LSD for the SC300 5 speed. I searched and many comments on the Supra NA Auto diff, but that requires modification on the 92/93 SC300.
Is that right?

3 way diff? really? how is that 3 way? How is 3 way even possible? two way or bust man. Take a sharp turn with a welded diff. off throttle. I wouldn't want one. Not in a sc anyways.
edit: point made already. a good alternative is a trd piece, kaaz, I think cusco might have one? They may even be a few others. Search it. They are all around 800$ or so new it seems.

There is no such thing as a 3-way diff. Don't weld your diff, it sucks on the street and unless you are a drifter, don't do it. Having a welded diff is not the same as a 2-way diff.
