These guys sure are helpful aren't they

You stock auto tranny should hold around 350-400hp reliably, maybe 450 with a good tranny cooler. BoostLogic offers built auto if you really plan on turning up the boost.

No way the stock auto will hold 400hp reliably, let alone 450.

Then how much will it hold?? Seems like everyone knows the answer here but won't tell for some reason.

My stock 97 sc300 automatic transmission started to slip even when I was making 325 rwhp. That is with a transmission cooler and me not ragging on it...I PROMISE you that a stock tranny will have a very short life span over 325 rwhp.

I've heard the Soarer TT trans will take 400+ hp. Truth or Fiction?

What is the model code of the Sc300/400 auto?

The Soarer TT is a A340E trans.

Funny comment considering your answer was way off........ the tranny won't hold over 350rwhp, even if it still works it will have all kinds of "symptoms". Two options... [1] Built tranny or [2]Intall a Soarer automatic. Good for 400rwhp.

You might have to get the Supra Turbo Transmission; which I believe is the A340; not sure; to hold that power. Got a question fellas; will the stock SC3 automatic transmission housing hold a TH400?

The Soarer tranny is an easier fix.
