Default Hello from Australia! Question on basic mods for sc300

Hey guys i've just imported a Soarer (sc300 model) from Japan to Australia. Unfortunately, as with most of the soarers, its auto. I chose this model for insurance reasons, as im only 18 years of age. However, i plan on performing some modifications and as these are pretty rare in Australia struggling to find some info.On to the questions:

What are the basic enginge modifications that yield the most performance, and their approximate price?

Any information such as air intake, exhaust systems etc. would be greatly appreciated, ive tried to search but stuggling to find the information im after. I realise there are bolt on turbo kits (in Australia these are available too for the NA Supras) but the 4 000 USD is out of my price range.

Also, if you could give some figures as how they go wtih these basic modifications. Am i better off just selling this car and buying a Soarer TT before i spend this money?

Yep that's the US SC300 equivalent. As for mods besides turbo you can get:

Exhaust - $500-2000 5-20hp
SAFC2 - $200(used) $350new 5-12hp
BFI - $0 - 20 +5-6hp
K&N/ TRD air filter - $40-70 +5hp
Electric Fans - FEL's $200, AAP's $350 - 3-15hp
Xerd headers - $350 10-17hp

I'm not sure about these hp #'s they are just what I have heard. Good luck

You know, the Soarer TT is just about the same on insurance as a 3.0GT lol

You could turn it into an NA-T (never seen that done in Australia).
